iPhone 5 would Debut in September, Marketed in October

According to DigiTimes, some Taiwan companies have already started to deliver the first components for the production of the iPhone 5. The same source says that the new iPhone would debut in September and be marketed in early October.


Upstream component makers including Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), which is in charge of assembling the devices; Simplo Technologies and Dynapack International Technology, in charge of manufacturing batteries; TPK Holding and Wintek, in charge of touch panel modules; Catcher, in charge of chassis; and Largan Precision, in charge of webcams, are all expected to benefit from the orders.

The source points out that for the first quarter Apple expects to sell 6-7 million units of iPhone 5, to which are added to 4 volumes of sales of the iPhone, which will continue to be produced.
