Location-Based Reminders Working In iOS 5 Beta 4?
Reminders is one of the new apps that will come pre-installed with iOS 5 and showcased at the WWDC 2011 Keynote.
The Reminders app allows you to store list of things to do. You can store date associated with these reminders, so you’re reminded about the to-do list on that date.
You can also assign a location to the reminder, which is probably one of the cool features of the app. So you can say if you want to be reminded about the to-do list when you arrive or leave a location.
However, it looks like the location-based reminders didn’t work with the first three beta versions of iOS 5. Folks at TiPB report that the location-based reminders are now working in iOS 5 beta 4 that was seeded to developers couple of days back.
If location-based Reminders weren’t working for you in previous iOS 5 betas, give iOS 5 beta 4 a whirl and see if you get alerted when — er, where — you leave or enter an important-to-remember place.
Here are some screenshots:

Don't Force Any One To Eat An iPhone !
Yes, we’re not kidding. A new story comes from NewYork Post says that Brian Anscomb, a 37 year old IP lawyer from Upper East Side Manhattan, was arrested on Sunday after forcing his girlfriend to eat an iPhone. He stuffed an iPhone in his girlfriend’s mouth and down her throat during a heated argument.
That looks very crazy, but according to the court papers, the accused person has left the woman with cuts and bruises around her mouth. We hope she’s well.. but does the iPhone really makes men crazy?

Google+ For iPhone Now Available In The App Store
Apple has finally approved Google’s Google+ iPhone app and is now available in the App Store.
Google launched Google+ – its latest social networking project few weeks back to compete with Facebook. It has received a lot of positive review and is already more than 10 million users strong.
Google+ allows users to put their family and friends into Circles and lets them selectively share with specific groups within their personal network, rather than sharing with all their social connections at once.
Here’s the description of the Google+ iPhone app from iTunes:
Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they’re checking in.
It includes the following features:
* Circles let you share the right things with just the right people.
* Stream is where you can get updates from your circles or see what people are saying about things nearby.
* Huddle is super-fast group messaging for everyone in your circles.
Here are some screenshots of the iPhone app:
Line For The iPhone 5 Begin !
It is not a joke, Someone is already taking the first place in line for the iPhone 5 which is expected to launch the next month or may be the after next month. The UK’s Metro Online reports that a 29 year-old marketing executive from Coventry called Rob Shoesmith has set up his own camp outside a London Apple Store.
He has already decided to stay in a tent for 2 months till the iPhone 5 launch. That looks crazy but he has got a lot of free staff in exchange for advertisement on his blog.
“I will be camping out on the streets of London for the launch of the iPhone 5 in a marketing and pr experiment.”
Any way, I wish I could meet him to know many things and I wish I could also want to say to him that I'm a crazy man with iPhone just like him, but ........
What do you think? Please comment !!
Note: Although Mr. Shoesmith announced that he has not actually started camping out yet, and won’t until a few weeks before the expected iPhone launch. (Sorry, the pic of him already in the tent was misleading.) He is currently collecting food and other items from vendors to take with him

iPhone 4 Survives 13,500 Foot Fall - Much To The Surprise Of The Owner
We've all heard stories of people dropping and shattering their iDevices - whether it's on the ground, in the toilet, on the table, etc. Occurrences of this nature come as no surprise to iDevice users as you're always bound to know someone who has. But do many people know of or have seen an iPhone 4 that has survived a deathly fall? That would be impressive to say the least.
CNN reports that a skydiver's recent dive could have been the end to his iPhone 4 - but surprisingly enough, it overcame "great heights." Jarrod McKinney, a 37 year old from Minnesota, submitted a report to iReport of CNN saying that his iPhone 4 survived a drop of 13,500 ft. after he accidentally dropped it. His unzipped pocket of his skydiving gear was a mistake that would send his iPhone 4 diving to the earth - with no parachute. Expecting to never find it again, McKinney was surprised that he was able to track his device using a GPS application. McKinney found his device sitting on a two-story building near where he landed with his parachute shortly after. Just as a joke, he decided to try to call someone from his shattered phone - and it worked! Even though the phone's screen was entirely shattered, he had no problem using cellular data service for phone calls and the like.
One might be surprised that this feat could be accomplished. Mike Gikas of Consumer Reports, a company that specializes in testing products (especially in durability) stated that something of this nature could happen. His only comment on the possibility was:
I think water is harder to deal with than shock.
The iPhone did however have minimal protection - an Incipio iPhone case. When the phone was found, the case was completely broken but still connected to the phone. Although the screen is totally busted, McKinney does plan on replacing the screen and will continue to use his iPhone 4 for more years to come (unless his next "phone diving" mistake is above 13,500 ft.).

iOS 4.3.4 released, patches JailbreakMe exploit
Literally just moments ago, Apple has pushed out a new firmware update for its iOS devices — iOS 4.3.4, which was designed solely to fix the JailbreakMe.com PDF exploit.
Though this is a somewhat important security risk to deal with, the following devices are left in the dust (again) when it comes to the patch: iPod touch 1st generation, iPod touch 2nd generation, iPhone 2G and the iPhone 3G. If you use one of those aforementioned devices, it is recommended you jailbreak and install PDF Patch 2 (and PDF Patch if you’re device is under iOS 4.0.2).
We recommend that you do not update, as it would render your device unjailbroken and unjailbreakable if you do not have the appropriate SHSH blobs saved.

Apple Enables AssistiveTouch Feature In iOS 5 Beta 3
Apple has also enabled the new AssistiveTouch features in iOS 5 beta 3, in addition to performance improvements, additional location controls, voice roaming toggle, other changes and improvements that we covered earlier.
AssistiveTouch allows you to use your iOS device if you have difficulty touching the screen or if you require an adaptive accessory.
Once you have enabled the AssitiveTouch feature via the Settings app (Settings -> Accessibility -> AssitiveTouch), you can access various functions such as multi-touch gestures, volume buttons etc. via a control panel that can be activated by tapping an overlay button. You can also create custom gestures.
Checkout the video of the AssistiveTouch feature to get a better idea:
The new AssitiveTouch feature has led to speculations that Apple is planning to ditch hardware buttons in future iOS devices. We’ve also seen a purported photo of the next generation iPod Touch – iPod Touch 5G with a capacitive home button.
A capacitive home button will be interesting as it should probably help in reducing the wear and tear of the button, but hardware home or volume buttons seem to be a lot more intuitive to us.

Apple To Launch Sprint iPhone By Christmas
Apple has already launched the Verizon iPhone 4 few months ago and it was a great one. Today analysts say that Apple is about to launch its iPhone on the American wireless carrier Sprint. This would happen by this Christmas.
Citadel Securities analyst Shing Yin this morning writes that it is increasingly likely that there will be an iPhone from Apple (AAPL) for Sprint-Nextel (S), especially considering that with the inauguration of Verizon Communications (VZ) tiered pricing for data tomorrow, Sprint will be the sole remaining national carrier with an unlimited data plan offering, something desirable to Apple, he believes.
With lower prices on plans, a Sprint iPhone “could offer an attractive proposition for more price-conscious users (a demographic that we think is increasingly important to Apple following the rise of Android),” and “could be a relatively stronger seller than the Verizon iPhone,” writes Yin.
We’re expecting to see more from Apple. The big one we’re waiting for now is the iPhone 5.

Apple Orders 15 Million iPhone 5s; Will Start Shipping In September?
Taiwanese publication - DigiTimes claims that Pegatron Technology has received orders for 15 million iPhone 5s from Apple.
According to DigiTimes’ sources, the next generation iPhone will start shipping in September 2011.
Pegatron currently manufactures CDMA iPhone that is available on Verizon's network.
DigiTimes reports:
The sources pointed out that as the iPhone 5, which does not seem to have any major update from iPhone 4, is already set for shipment in September, they are already started supplying components to Pegatron with Pegatron's plants in Shanghai, China also recently started hiring for manpower.
It has been widely speculated that Apple will unveil the fifth generation iPhone later this fall ever since it did not unveil the new iPhone at WWDC 2011 in June, like it has traditionally done in the last four years, since the launch of iPhone.
According to DigiTimes, iPhone 5 won’t be a major update from iPhone 4.
So far we’ve heard conflicting reports about next generation iPhone’s form factor. According to some reports, next generation iPhone will be completely redesigned and will look more like iPod Touch 4G rather than iPhone 4. While, some reports like this one claim that fifth generation iPhone will come with improved specifications such as faster processor, 8-megapixel camera etc. just like iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, but won’t feature an all-new design and will look like iPhone 4. Some analysts have predicted that Apple will launch both iPhone 5 and an unlocked iPhone 4S for the prepaid market.
What do you think about the possibility of an iPhone 5 that looks like iPhone 4? Let us know in the comments.

Download iFaith V.1.1 For iOS Devices
iH8sn0w has just released it's own project which called iFaith v.1.1 for iOS devices, and this is a SHSH dumping tool which allow you to restore your device to any previous iOS firmwares, so this tool will help you to restore without needing to use TinyUmbrella or @notcom but the most important thing that I love it in iFaith v1.1 is that it will extract SHSH blobs from the device
Also the developer and hacker iH8sn0w confirmed on his twitter account that Mac will be compatibility with the tool soon. We are going to make you updated with the latest news about iFaith tool, but until now you can download it for Windows and soon will be available for Mac
